Business Innovation Development Scheme (BIDS) brokerage The Business Innovation Development Scheme (BIDS) has been developed to allow eligible Western Australian small businesses, and people wishing to commercialise an invention or new technology, to access private-sector advice and expertise; and through the provision of a BIDS financial contribution, to partially offset the cost of accessing this assistance. A key objective of the program is to facilitate the transfer of skills from the Consultant(s) to the Client, so that they can better understand the process of commercialising an invention or new technology and apply these skills again in the future.
